A Forever Home For Rescued Pigs
At the Maui Pig Sanctuary, we offer rescued pigs a safe and loving forever home. We believe every pig deserves a life filled with comfort, exceptional care, and plenty of cuddles with the pigs.
overOur tours are given at our Makawao location only that spans 2.5 acres and is home to over 30 pigs, from playful piglets to wise old sows. Here, you’ll meet a variety of breeds, including Yorkshire, KuneKunes, potbellied pigs, and Polynesian pigs, each with a unique story of resilience.
The Maui Pig Sanctuary is a refuge where pigs find their permanent, peaceful home. We are not a petting zoo. Our mission is to provide sanctuary and honor their lives.
All proceeds from our tours go directly to providing food, shelter, and medical care for our pigs and other rescued animals.
Join Us For A Tour
Every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday at 10am, we offer a 90 minute guided group walking tour given by our founder Jillian Vickers. Private tours are offered, have limited availability. Contact us to learn more. Due to our small staff size and out of respect for the animals, we are not open daily to the public. Â
With this personal and educational experience, you will:
Meet our rescued pigs. Learn their stories, give them a belly rub, and see how special they are.
Explore all pig areas and learn about their daily lives.
Discover why we save them, what makes them unique, and how they came to live at our sanctuary.
** Please remember, WE ARE NOT A PETTING ZOO, but a place where pigs have been given refuge and a forever, peaceful home. **

Visiting Guidelines
We’re excited to have you visit our sanctuary! Remember, you’re stepping into a peaceful haven for rescued pigs. Upon arriving, you will be required to sign a risk and release form before meeting any of our residents.Â
A Few Guidelines to Ensure a Pleasant Visit:
- Supervise Little Ones:Â Please keep a close eye on children to ensure their safety and the well-being of our pigs.
- Plant-Based Treats:Â Feel free to bring vegetarian snacks to share with our furry friends.
- Respect for All Life: To maintain a compassionate environment, please refrain from bringing any animal products onto the sanctuary.
- A Peaceful Sanctuary: Let’s keep the sanctuary a serene space. Please no smoking, weapons, drugs, or alcohol.
- Leave Your Pets at Home:Â While we love all animals, please leave your pets at home to ensure a stress-free visit for everyone.
- Capture the Moment: Take plenty of photos and share them with us on social media! Tag us to spread the love. #MauiPigSanctuary
- Footwear:Â Please wear closed-toe shoes or boots, as the sanctuary can be muddy, especially after rain.
- Wear long pants. It is best around the pigs to have your legs covered. Upcountry is cooler and there is plenty of shade.
- Bring a rain poncho, upcountry is known for pop up rain showers.
- No smoking or vaping allowed
By following these guidelines, you’ll help us maintain a safe and harmonious environment for our rescued pigs. If you have any questions, please ask!

We had a wonderful time meeting the pigs, touring the farm and learning about the piggies from Jillian.
My son recently fundraised with a lemonade stand and has sponsored, Not Kevin to help with his formula cost. We have had such a great experience with the Maui Pig Sanctuary and would definitely recommend a visit.
The sanctuary is a slice of paradise, filled with happy snorts and the sotest bellies!
We were absolutely blown away by the beauty of this special place and Jillian's incredible work.
I volunteered at the Maui Pig Sanctuary for a day and it was such a great experience! Pigs are so intelligent and it was so rewarding.
The owner, Jillian, is so sweet and so grateful for every little bit of help.
