Meet OMGEEE, Our Littlest Rescue!

It was a typical afternoon at the sanctuary when I received a voicemail that changed everything. A kind couple, visiting Maui, had stumbled upon a tiny piglet while hiking through the Makawao Forest—just a half mile from our sanctuary gates!

The little piglet decided to follow them all the way to the parking lot. After a valiant effort by the hikers to locate her mother (who was rumored to have been chased off by dogs), they realized the tiny girl was alone and needed immediate help.

The Little Piglet Who Wouldn’t Give Up

I guided the couple on how to keep her warm and fed overnight with goat’s milk and a heat lamp while I desperately searched for a forever home. We almost succeeded, but in a sudden, heartbreaking turn, the adopters backed out just 20 minutes before the meet-up.

Thankfully, I always have a Plan B. I swooped in to rescue our little girl, now affectionately named OMGEEE!

Though we are currently at capacity and not actively seeking new residents, I knew in my heart that this adorable, resilient girl would be the perfect buddy for our resident Pua once she’s a bit bigger. Until then, she’s thriving with round-the-clock attention (and the dedicated company of our lovely Pig Nanny!).

Your GivingTuesday Gift Secures Her Future

OMGEEE is estimated to be only about 10 days old, and she’s already racking up necessary medical bills and needs constant care.

Right now, we need to rally together to help OMGEEE get the care she deserves:

  • Spaying Surgery: Approximately $750 is needed for her upcoming vital spaying procedure.

  • Specialized Milk: Her goat’s milk—which she needs every two hours—costs about $25 a week.

This GivingTuesday, your donation isn’t just a general contribution; it’s a direct investment in OMGEEE’s health and happiness, securing her lifetime of care here on Maui.

Every little bit helps us cover the cost of her emergency care and transition her safely to her permanent sanctuary life.
